The Crystal Conquerers

Our story focuses mainly on Steven Rosales, who lives and trains with his guardians, the Crystal Gems. The others respect him, but to an extent. While he is the son of Pink Diamond, their trusted leader, he's also half human, so they have to focus more on protecting him.

The Crystal Gems do have a mission on Earth, though. Several hundred years ago, Pink Diamond was assigned to save the planet from decay. Her and the Gems working with her quickly found that the inhabitants of Earth, humans, were the ones causing it's destruction.

Her plan was to simply dispose of the humans, but they fought back. Homeworld didn't have weapons to match the humans, who learned quickly and built weapons faster.

Not helping matters were the other three Diamonds, who were constantly trying to reason with Pink, to get her to take a more diplomatic route in the saving of Earth. She realized that she had to find a way to avoid them, and faked her own shattering.

Despite their grief, the Diamonds realized they had to apprehend the "Rose Quartz" before she could cause anymore problems.

Steven was born as a new disguise. As a half human, he could blend in with the other humans, gathering intel for the others. He was also a way for Pink to avoid her capture, as Homeworld didn't recognize Steven as the diabolical Rose Quartz.

He's a part of this now, and there's conflict around every corner.
