The Survey Corps had thought they would be able to capture the Female Titan and use her for information, but their hopes were shattered when Annie Leonhardt encased herself in a giant crystal.

5 months later, there has been no progress in the ongoing push against the Titans. The Scouts are desperate. They need answers that only Annie can provide. The task has been left to Squad Leader Zoë Hange and her team of scientists. Unfortunately, every effort to extract Annie is met with failure.
