Alaska Kinderson was in a car crash when she was a small child and was pulled into a coma. Unknowing, she goes fourteen years asleep and basically forgotten by her family. That is until her sixteenth birthday when she awakes knowing almost everything a sixteen year old should know.
But, at her orphanage she meets a boy who happens to be the same age as her with the name of Christophe Runner, and she starts to have a liking to this mysterious man.
Throughout the story she finds love, a new family, and friends– and for the record, she never would of thanked a hospital visit this much.
