But upon encountering the Company of Thorin Oakenshield, she finds a way to escape her reality and goes along to help the Dwarves reclaim their homeland. Only when Isabelle realizes she is falling for a certain Dwarf, does she remember her sacrifices and her promises, and when Thorin nearly dies at the hand of Azog, she knows she can no longer continue to run.
