Merlin has been having nightmares brought on by his traumatic past. Arthur and the rest of the Knights of Camelot notice that something is amiss and are determined to get to the bottom of it. But when an old enemy shows up and forces Merlin to relive his past and possibly reveal his secrets, what will become of him? What will become of Camelot?

Merlin and Gwaine decide to pull a prank on Arthur, which turns out bad for Merlin. Arthur decides to punish Merlin by going on a hunting trip. When Merlin shows Arthur his secret, he doesn't take it so well. He banish Merlin from Camelot and his return will be punished by death. But soon after Arthur have send Merlin away he regrets it. The next year he tries to find his friend, but fails. Suddenly he gets other thinks to worry about when Morgana attacks and she is not alone.
