People say that the huge cliche is that the popular mean girl dates the star jock. The quarterback of the football team, pitcher on the baseball team, whatever.

They were so wrong.

The real cliche is that the shy, nerdy, new girl gets together with the jock, makes him hers forever. The mean girl is just an obstacle here, someone in the way of their cliche romance.

That's how it's been for nine years in Blair Keys's family and this year, she's determined to break it.

Ryan is the quintessential school jock, a star player on the football team, and the object of admiration for nearly every girl . His chiseled good looks, charming smile, and apparent confidence have earned him the titles of "hot," "amazing," and "good in bed." However, there is one student who feels entirely differently-Amelia. She's not swayed by his popularity or reputation; instead, she sees him as nothing more than a self-absorbed playboy who embodies everything she dislikes about high school social hierarchies. Despite her disdain for him, Amelia finds herself continually thrown into situations with Ryan, thanks to her ever-enthusiastic friend Grace. Grace is the type of person who loves to bring everyone together. Whether it's a raging party, a pool gathering, or even just hanging out while babysitting Ryan's little sister, Amelia can't escape being in Ryan's presence. there's a palpable tension between them, filled with snarky comments and eye rolls. But everything takes a turn at one of Grace's parties, which is notorious for its wild atmosphere. After a few too many drinks, Amelia's inhibitions slip away, leading her to act out of character. It's in this vulnerable state that Ryan, who has always viewed her as just another annoying girl, steps in to help when Amelia stumbles, showing a gentler side that leaves her, momentarily speechless. What has changed? What could have possibly made Ryan reconsider his attitude toward Amelia? . The question is whether this newfound kindness is genuine or fake?
