In New York City, six very different people live together in a modern day novel loosely based on "F.R.I.E.N.D.S." One is a vegan florist with an unusual past who loves to bake, another is a hyperprivileged model who loves to sing, one is an uptight, astronomy-loving scientist with family issues, one is a philandering actor who works at a tattoo parlor, one is a wise-cracking zookeeper who writes poetry, and the last is an Italian artist that works at the Washington Post. Together, they live life and go through all stages of adulthood together while raising an aloof alley cat.
