My love for Sakura has nothing to do for my hatred towards Hinata. My hatred towards Hinata has nothing to do for my love for Sakura. I love Sakura as a character, and I don't need to hate Hinata to validate Sakura. I hate Hinata as a character, and I don't need to love Sakura to invalidate her. Naruto realizes his feelings for Hinata as he spends more time with her but puts them aside. War being right around the corner, he couldn't help but grimace at his decision to confess to her when it was announced and didn't think it was appropriate when everyone is so stressed about it. Naruto does not remember that Hinata confessed to him at all. Childhood traumas further prevent him from expressing his feelings. Hinata, meanwhile is saddened that Naruto doesn't remember her confession but decides to not bring it up. Protecting herself from further embarrassment. When the war was announced she distracted herself by getting stronger. She wanted to improve herself. ★••••★ A/N: I'm going to boost most of the characters skill sets and flesh out their potential that was wasted in the series. Did the whole cast dirty imo. The story will be edited/fixed after completion. P.S. Naruto will not be Ashura's reincarnation. However Sasuke will still be Indra if that makes sense? Naruhina will be reincarnations.
