My love for Sakura has nothing to do for my hatred towards Hinata. My hatred towards Hinata has nothing to do for my love for Sakura. I love Sakura as a character, and I don't need to hate Hinata to validate Sakura. I hate Hinata as a character, and I don't need to love Sakura to invalidate her. Naruto does not remember that Hinata confessed to him at all. Childhood traumas further prevent him from expressing his feelings.
