The Walking Dead
I was brought into this world alone; I'll leave it just the same... How to be a survivor was all Willow knew how to be, having been cast out on her own as a young teen with no family, she knew how to take care of herself. So when the real world collapsed around her she adapted quickly. Ending up in Atlanta months later wasn't part of the plan but she was sick, really sick, she needed medicine and she wasn't going to find that kind of stuff just anywhere. But what she did find was a group of people, stupid people who were most likely to get her killed, but she hated to admit they were growing on her. Whether she stuck around though depended on just how much attitude she could handle from that damn redneck Daryl Dixon, and secrets that just break her. If her haunting past doesn't get to her first... ~~~Daryl Dixon fanfiction~~~ This story is being heavily edited! 06/26/23

SHE LEARNED TO LICK THE KNIVES DIPPED IN POISON. Nothing was ever given to Rebekah Dixon on a damn silver platter. Everything that made up her core being was embedded in survival. Nobody was coming to save her like a damned princess locked in an ivory tower. Her life was in shambles the minute she was born to an alcoholic, abusive father. One brother half in and out of her life like clockwork every few weeks, juvie, jail, and the other brother who tried his damned best to shield her. Even if it was futile. He just kept coming and coming. Until he didn't. GLENN RHEE was just a pizza delivery boy swarming in debt, barely making ends meet when the rise of the dead began. Pizzas. A different kind of survival was embedded in who he was the moment he left the safe haven of Michigan and ventured to Macon. He knew the ins and outs of the city better than the mayor himself, probably, and that was the sole reason he survived the initial onslaught of the dead. His family was surely dead. All gone, wiped off the face of the earth as far as Glenn knew. When he met Rebekah, all Glenn could think was that maybe the end of the world wasn't so bad if he could look at her. She was hardened, not much of a talker. Not like he was, and yet.. He could not stop trying to get the girl to smile. The two unlikely survivors find solace in each other.. eventually.
