(This is a Steven Universe fanfic featuring my OCs) Black Opal is a rare, prestigious gem belonging to White Diamond. Gems give her their utmost respect, almost treating her as though she were a Diamond. One of the gems who serves her is a Shadow Agate, a kind and gentle Agate who can't bring herself to hurt anyone unless it's to protect someone. Black Opal is sent on a mission to Earth with Shadow Agate to accompany her, where they are to protect Pink Diamond from the rebels and keep her court in line. 
But on Earth, there is no reason their status separates them.
On Earth, their purposes don't have to matter.
On Earth, things don't always follow one specific plan.

After Pink shattered, Y/N was heavily protected and had a harness around her at all times, always around either the diamonds or heavily guarded by two topazes and a jasper. After being allowed to roam around the Gem Warship, she was stopped by Steven who convinced her to help him find his friends and escape. After the explosion, she was founded by The Crystal Gems and was officially their 'hostage'. From being heavily guarded and kept within eyes sight and inside her whole life into being outside and experiencing many different emotions for the first time. This is when her story begins.
