(This is a Steven Universe fanfic featuring my OCs) Black Opal is a rare, prestigious gem belonging to White Diamond. Gems give her their utmost respect, almost treating her as though she were a Diamond. One of the gems who serves her is a Shadow Agate, a kind and gentle Agate who can't bring herself to hurt anyone unless it's to protect someone. Black Opal is sent on a mission to Earth with Shadow Agate to accompany her, where they are to protect Pink Diamond from the rebels and keep her court in line.
But on Earth, there is no reason their status separates them.
On Earth, their purposes don't have to matter.
On Earth, things don't always follow one specific plan.

For as long as you can remember, you just wanted to be accepted for being what you are. On your home planet you were considered a corrupted gem by becoming one and only male gem in existance, which lead you to being banished by the Diamonds. You were left in a small ship which you was given to you by Pink Diamond for almost your entire existance. Almost, because one day, you finally decided that it was time to come out, and try to have a normal life. For all of the years after coming out of your ship, you just traveled around, meeting some interesting people who you grew to care about, and more importantly you found a place to call home, a planet with the people who accepted you as one of their own, and even found people who you grew to love as your own family. Unfortunely, this was short lived, because one day, this planet was attacked, and half of it's population murdered by the forces of the being you grew to hate more than the Diamonds. Ever since that happened, you went back to your old way of life and started to live a life of a mercenary, never really stayed anywhere for a long period of time, and practically isolated yourself from everyone, except for a few exceptions, one of them being Shi'ra, a space huntress you grew to love as your own sister. However, everything may change for you when you receive a contract from a man known as the Collector bring him a certain gem from the Earth. The Strange Gem ( Gem!Reader x Steven Universe Various)
VERY VERY VERY VERY SLOW UPDATES! Many years ago, a gem emerged on the homeworld near the diamond palace. Pink, being the first one to recognize a gem emerging, told the other 3 diamonds about the information. As all four of them watched the new gem merge, it was discovered that the gem was born with two gems instead of one. Instead of shattering the gem, white diamond decided to keep them as they were a rare cut gem with an abnormal two gems instead of one. After the discovery, they decided to name the gem, Y/N. Y/N soon lived underneath the Diamonds and was treated as if she was a diamond herself. After Pink shattered, Y/N was heavily protected and had a harness around her at all times, always around either the diamonds or heavily guarded by two topazes and a jasper. After being allowed to roam around the Gem Warship, she was stopped by Steven who convinced her to help him find his friends and escape. After the explosion, she was founded by The Crystal Gems and was officially their 'hostage'. From being heavily guarded and kept within eyes sight and inside her whole life into being outside and experiencing many different emotions for the first time. This is when her story begins.
