Jun Sasaki

Following the passing of his sensei, Jun Sasaki leaves the monastery he spent nineteen years in a row in order to serve a powerful daimyo and thereby fulfilling his master's dying wish. After spending several days there, Jun meets the landlord's haughty son for the first time. To put it mildly, they do not get along very well. Both Jun's patience and edurance are put to the test once he gets asked to teach the son the way of life.
While Jun attempts to serve the daimyo to the best of his abilities, the return of an old enemy tests his loyalties and forces him to put his life on the line.
