Ben Novak was a soldier in the United States Army. After an unfortunate accident involving an IED, the young soldier loses his memory. He's currently at a military hospital in the heart of london, he was rushed there after they found serious swelling in his brain. He wakes up with no idea of where he is or who he was. However back in afghanistan his fellow soldiers regard him as somewhat of a hero as he saved their lives in more than one way. After being discharged from the hospital with Retrograde Amnesia, Ben Novak returns home where he is greeted by his family who do everything but hide Ben's past from him. He doesn't want to believe his parents though, he wants to believe the lie he'd told himself about a plane crash and a head injury. Soon, he runs into a former co-worker, Claire Morison, and the memories slowly return.

He woke up in a hospital, doesn't know why he's there, doesn't know who he is, doesn't even know how he got there, and he's got a real bad headache. He's got a head wound the size of a baseball, he can't see with his right eye, and no matter how hard he tries, he can't get a straight answer for anything, except that mineshaft workers found him crystalized and immediately flew him to the 'hospital.' Nobody could figure out how long he was in the crystal, and the only thing he could remember was his name. I really hope you enjoy! Like my previous books, I haven't gotten a cover for it but I'm working on it:)

She wakes up in a hospital with no memory, and only a hazy idea how she got there, but this isn't your typical case of amnesia. There is something bigger going on, the key to which lies somewhere among the broken shards of her mind. Her parents brought photographs and witness testimony, trying to tell her that she's just a normal girl, but things get more complicated when the police run her fingerprints. The unnamed girl is torn, fearful for her sanity, and plagued by nightmarish flashbacks. Who can she turn to when the few things she does remember would sound ridiculous if spoken aloud? "Do you have to leave?" I say through tears. "I promise I'll be home before you know it." That's a lie. It'll feel longer than what it actually is. And it will all feel like hell. "I'll be lost and...and...alone without you, Matt" I sob even harder. "Don't say that. You'll have Aunt Kathy and Jo. Trust me when I say this: they know exactly what they're doing. They've been through plenty of these before." I nod, not trusting my voice, afraid I'll break down again. His hand comes to my cheek as he wipes a tear that's falling. His arms then indulge me in a huge hug, his familiar cologne invading my nostrils. "STARKS! We're boarding!" I flinch at the fact that its time to let him go. He kisses the top of my head, "I love you." He whispers in my ear. "I love you too." I respond weakly. "I love you most." And with a final, hard kiss, he walks away from me.
