"Why do you refuse to love me!?" Parker asks, his eyes red from crying. The noise of rain hitting my run down window and the fog outside setting the mood. I've told him over and over again that I don't love. Some people don't like eating, some people don't like seeing people sad, I just simply don't like loving. I sigh and run my hands through my short cut hair, my rings tugging slightly on my hair, making my head hurt. I can feel tears threatening to fall out of my eyes, my eyes holding a vulnerable look that I hate. I look Parker in the eyes, "Like I said, love is an illusion." When Allison Baker was young, she was taught that love was just an illusion, a one time euphoria that just passes away after a bit. As she grew up and the others around her started to fall in love, she decided to give love a try, not wanting to end up like her mother who moped around because the father Allison has never met left. Allison did fall in love, but she's not in love anymore, she felt the euphoria, and that one time sweetness cost a piece of her. So now, to Allison, love is nothing. Until she meets a boy, who wants to teach her that love is everything.
