Ruth Santon doesn't believe that there is a god that can protect every human and that his has angels can protect every human.She doen't believe her crazy mom story about war and how an angle protected her from a gun down. The only thing that she sees is a black and white world. Either your good or bad or if it was seer luck for who you are or you work you butt off to be who you are. She shuts down and ignores everything you have to say if you start talking about supernatural or stuff that is not normal. But that changes when a man with golden wings and night black hair comes to collect her best friend's soul, instead of letting the angel take her best friend's soul she sells her own in exchange for her friend's life. Her life ends as a human and starts anew as a novice for an angel of death named Juda.
