The left prime minister's manor seemed to be blessed with bad luck.

Xue Mei Li, the only daughter had been sickly since birth.

Xue Ming Li, the only son was a notorious skirt chaser.

The madam, Lan Yu Jia had died earlier on and after her departure, none of the concubines of the left prime minister's household could get pregnant.

Xue Gang, the head of the house, had only been getting weaker.

It was spring that changed it all.

"Say, Elder Brother, haven't you changed?"

"Little sister needs to learn better, stop saying nonsense."

"Yes, yes. Please take care of father then."

"Then what would little sister do?"

"Recuperate."

"Don't be too lazy. You will be better soon."

To her surprise she did get better and helped her father with official matters.

"Say, Elder Brother, I think I like someone."

"Little sister needs to learn better, stop saying nonsense."

"Yes, yes. I'll do my best alone then."

A certain somebody then ordered all his subordinates to search for this man who 'defiled' his sister.

The left prime minister's household seemed to just get livelier.
