Book #3 in The Fire series BLAKE RIVERA "You're the leader of a gang." Aiden yells. I look up at him. "You don't think I know that?" I yell back. "I am doing everything I can to protect my people!" I shake my head. "Evacuate. Make sure everyone gets out of here. No one dies today." "Well, someone should. And we both know who it needs to be." Aiden says before he leaves the room. I know Aiden is right, but I can't kill Felix, even if he keeps trying to kill me. I shake my head and sit back down. Just because everyone else was leaving didn't mean I had to also. Maybe I can talk some sense into him. I sigh. I've tried to already, but maybe this time it will be different. Maybe I should tell him the truth. Maybe I should tell him Nadia is his daughter. The door to my planning room is thrown open but I stay seated. I look up as men flood into the room, soon followed by Felix. His emotionless eyes find mine and he cocks his gun. Jacob is a gang leader while Michael is his third-in-command and Caden is his second-in-command. Jacob had a dark past so he's cold to anyone that's not friends or family. I was so out of it that I didn't even notice when the stoplight switched from yellow to red. Struggling to act on my fight or flight, I have no choice but to run straight into the car in front of me. Oh fuck. Just one of those fucking days... Thankfully, the impact isn't fatal, but it's far from pretty. I exit my vehicle, ensuring to put my car in park before hopping out, the person from the car in front jumps out at the same time. A tall man begins to storm towards me, his brows furrowed as he takes long strides in my direction. Boy look cute and neat eesi... Why did we have to meet like this? "A buy yuh buy yuh license?" he screams at me with rage. Well, that's not nice. Tek back everything me just seh. "It was clearly an accident, mi did distracted" I tell him, trying to defend myself. Mi shame. The road is active around us, drivers are blowing their horns or peeping their heads through their windows to take in the scene. "Distracted? I was startled but held on firmly. No one is supposed to know I am here, what if they find out.. what will I do.......... I had no answers. With fear I turned around expecting someone familiar, someone who discovered me,my place and waiting for that nagging voice. But what I found was a guy, an unfamiliar face, which brought to me a feeling of relief. But at the same time I felt a strange sensation, feeling I don't know afraid. The guy, clad in yellow shirt and sweatpants, with messy jet black hair, and pretty eyes looking at me with a questionable look. I don't know just what to say. I am feeling I am being interrogated, but how can there be such an effect just with one expression? I mean I should be the one with questions, after all this rather unknown potentially dangerous guy just somehow jumps to my terrace and instead of giving an apology looks at me with those questionable eyes. I'm laying down in the middle of the street, I move my head to the left and see Jasper and Cole,I look to the right and see Drake, the boys are unconscious and they have wounds all over their bodies. I look down at myself and see that my left pants leg is completely torn off at the knee, blood seeping out of a very large cut. I sit up and look around and see that the street is completely deserted except for a few cars. I hear a bell chime and look infront of me,I see a clock that resembles big Ben, or maybe it is big Ben. In the middle of the clock is a girl wearing a white dress, her black hair hanging in her face, her arms arranged to look like the arms of a clock, suddenly her head snaps up and she looks straight at me,once I see her I almost stop breathing, she has one red eye and one black eye, there's a crackle in the sky and me and my friends are lifted into the air and into a red oval hole, I look back at the girl and she says," have fun Drew" blackness takes over me.Terminé
