Maddie Safron.
She was a girl who meant no harm, but her background dropped her reputation to zero. She was the daughter of a prostitute and a customer, that is. Even when she has the attributes of a perfect role-model: beautiful, sweetly delicate, and intellectual, she was always tackled, being laughed at for being a daughter of a whore. And the worst case is, the one who spread rumors about her was Olivia Roddenburry, her childhood bestfriend.
Until once when she was strangled because of her, she met Axel Ashlocke in the boy's bathroom. Once who was a bystander changed his mind, and started to protect her ever since the "choking" accident. He became her knight in shining armor, but Maddie couldn't still figure out why he was always there to fend for her when he could just leave the incident buried into an unforgotten memory.
But something..someone, always held her back. Alex, simply, Alex. A mysterious entity in the form of a human kept on popping up on her dreams, always bugging her, stopping her from creating imaginative thoughts in her lucid dreams. She doesn't know why she couldn't remove his entire existence off her dreams. When she realized she couldn't because of some unknown force, she learned to live with him being in his dreams until she finds more about him, giving her more clues why he can't be gone.
When mysteries were solved, and relationships start to form and break, she can't just wish for someone who only existed in her dreams to live in the same world as hers.
