The old world is gone, there are no more nations, no more continents. There is just the City. Where one day, Thursday, is the only day of the week where people have freedom. Where we can drink, abuse substances, be with the people we want to be with and curse, you can say words you wouldn't say in front of your mother on Thursday. Every other day is controlled. You must watch what you say, what you do and even how you think. We are constantly monitored by the CMD (Central Monitoring District), and they are always looking for mistakes or faults, except on Thursdays. The CMD is split into two units; the MOM( Monitoring of Minors) and the MOA( Monitoring of Adults). Minors are seen as parasites, they are what's wrong with humanity and if they can be perfected, then we can take our next step in evolution. Tougher restrictions and harsher punishments are the result of this way of thinking. MOMs are undeniably worse than MOAs. The Mistaken Adults are made convicts, and their time depends on their mistake. But the Mistaken Minors disappear, no one knows where they go and no one wants to. My name is Lydia Green and I am a minor.

"Perché il nuovo mondo sta per arrivare, e non c'è taglio, non c'è cicatrice" My mother used to sing all kinds of lullabies, mostly the ones she made up herself. I miss Italy... I miss everything. The new world has slowly become something less frightening and more infuriating. Red paints every road, lurks behind every door, and speaks to you in a sickening way. Even so, you love. At the very least, you need to love, our minds cry out for quiet moments, for even a second spent admiring a beautiful landscape. We can't allow ourselves to be defeated here, and luckily I've found a group that understands that. I believe that, for the first time in a long while, I feel at home.
