Noel is the Head cheerleader at her high school. She is a Star choir student and a shining member of student council. Noel is beautiful.Noel is popular. Noel is depressed. Not Only is she depressed, but she is also fighting anorexia. When an attempt to commit suicide is left leaving her alive, her parents check her into a Behavioral Center to "get help". But while she is there, she sees a familiar face, David the cute, quiet kid who sits in the back of the class. David is the shy kid who sits in the back of class. He's the quiet one who never raises his hand. David doesn't have a lot of friends. David is fighting Depression. He is so depressed that he stopped going to school and was so close to committing suicide, that he was checked into a Behavioral Center where he could "learn to overcome his challenges with people like him". During his stay he sees Noel, one of the pretty, popular girls from school. What is a girl like her, doing here? David and Noel are complete opposites at school. Noel is the popular pretty girl, and David is the quiet shy kid. But when they both find themselves admitted to the same hospital, they realize that they have much more in common then they first thought. Soon they begin to fall in love but are too scared to hurt one another. Perhaps, they are just what each other needs in order overcome their demons.
