"The thing you need to know is, it's all about sex.

It's true. In fact they say men think about sex every twenty-eight seconds. Of course that's straight men. With gay men it's every nine."

Advertising Executive Michael Clifford is left devastated when his lover, Luke, is hurt in a gay bashing. With his life on the line, will Michael fall back to his old habits of fucking everything in sight or will the sight of Luke bleeding out on the floor make him change his ways?

~~~
A blatant take on the Queer As Folk TV series that ran in the UK 1999-2000 & was remade in the USA 2000-2005. These series dealt with gay rights and social issues featuring storylines concerning homophobia, HIV & AIDS, Proposition 14 (USA version), violence/gay bashing, coming out, drug use, gay marriage & parental rights amongst others.
The original UK series was set in Manchester, the US version in Pittsburg, I have set this version in Sydney at the same time (Early 90's) and have kept the original music that was first used in the UK version and re-used in the US version. I've renamed the characters (obviously) and also place names etc to suit the change in city. I've also added in some Australian-ness to suit the location. If you haven't seen the TV series, the UK version was ground breaking for it's time, nothing like it had been seen before and it sent controversial waves rippling which Showtime picked up on. They re-made it for a US audience, using nearly the exact same script before carrying it on and expanding it into 5 series. I highly recommend you watch if you can! Calum Hood was the stereotypical jock in high school. He was the star of the football team and basketball team. The majority of his old classmates loved him, envied him, or wanted to be him. Now that he was at the University of Melbourne on a football scholarship, he was hoping to reach that status yet again. He wasn't going to university for the classes and academics; he was going to pursue his career in football. He wasn't a lame geek that was going to spend his weekends studying and doing boring homework that wouldn't benefit him. He wasn't going to let those nerds annoy him with their smarts either like he did in high school. Not to mention that he was a full-blooded frat boy. Classes and grades and nerds weren't about to get in his way of that. Ashton Irwin was considered a nerdy hipster. He was more into the arts and academics of things, his strong suit being English and art history. Not only that, but he had a passion for music as well. He was a talented singer that helped get him a full ride scholarship to the University of Melbourne, along with his exceptional knowledge in English. Though, he wasn't at all popular in high school. He was quite the opposite and he was okay with it. He didn't want to be popular and have his every move analyzed. It also meant that he would've had to hangout with the jocks, who he didn't like at all. Now, due to his uni class schedule, he would be free of the majority of the jocks and hopefully frat boys. They were bullies and he didn't want to have to be associated with any of them. He would make sure of that. But, despite what Ashton and Calum think, life isn't fair sometimes and you have to live with the hand you're dealt. Literally. ---- Copyright 2016 to Brianna (@1D_HarryStyles_1D)
{completed} "All you powerful men are the same. You don't want love, you want a servant." "I didn't come here for moral bullshit. Are you taking the job or not?" "We will but only because it's been a long time since we've had fun with a self centered prick." -- There's a couple that rules the city in the shadows of the darkness by bloodshed, perfect for each other even with their distinctive differences between them and the trail of bodies that follow them in their line of work and give them the prestige of the underworld of crime. Ashton is calloused, calculating, hard to read, and a man known to be of very few words. He's become even more of a man incapable of being understood with Calum at his side, a man who couldn't be more different than his darling than anything else. He's discourteous, intense and purely psychotic with a part of himself that loves hard and fast to the point where his mania isn't something that can be easily or at all controlled, except by Ashton. Despite their differences, their love thrives and their reciprocated toxicity bleeds throughout everything they do, including their dealings with Michael. Michael and Luke's relationship had never been the best but it never meant he wanted his fiancé dead as he's come to realize, even if he did make a deal with the devilish couple that has him reevaluating himself while Luke enters a battle against the depths of his own mind and heart, facing his relationship and what true love is as he fights against madness. -- "You're not so bad on the eyes, doll face. I was kinda hoping you were really ugly. It would probably make this a hell of a lot easier." "Fuck you, Luke! I can't believe you're making jokes right now! Why are you being so stupid?"
