Steve never told the rest of the Avengers this, but he very young for being an Avenger. He joined the army at fourteen, only one yer after his mother died. He became Captain America at 16, was frozen at 17.
Now in modern day society, he was about to turn 18. But now people are looking through his past and discovering secrets that he want to keep hidden. How will the rest of the Avengers react.
