TRIGGER WARNINGS: surgery, depression, drug use John and Sherlock start to drift away from each other as Rosie grows older and John grows more protective. After one too many incidents, Sherlock ends up in the hospital and John makes him swear to leave Rosie alone, thinking that she gets her deductive skills from him. He struggles to rebuild his relationship with his daughter and discovers how much Sherlock means to her. Sherlock couldn't believe what he was hearing: what she was asking was the impossible, wasn't it? Closing his eyes again he tried to say it the way she wanted it. "I... love you." It sounded more forced than the actual truth, causing him to shake his head violently. Taking another shaky breath, Sherlock searched his inner thoughts. Emotional Context
After the fallout from Eurus and Sherringford Sherlock's first mistake was sending Mycroft to deal with Molly and the phone call. From there Molly and Mycroft start an unlikely friendship. Sherlock's second mistake was that he waited months to speak with her regarding the phone call. When Sherlock finally confronts Molly about his feelings he is shocked to see her hesitant and more than a little confused. Did Sherlock wait to long? While taking a much needed holiday, Molly meets a very interesting woman who opens her eyes to the value she has. Molly exams her life and finally finds who she truly is and what she wants. Once she returns to London Sherlock is not prepared for the new Molly, but Mycroft embraces it. Which man will she give her heart to? I do not own the characters of BBC's Sherlock.
