Even the name foreshadows something bad. It's a real curse that doesn't allow one to live a-happily-ever-after with their soulmate.

Where am I?
I felt myself 'floating' in who-knows-where amidst a white void.
I tried to remember how I landed here but nothing came to me and I felt the panic start to rise.
"H-Hello? Somebody there?" I whimpered.
I'm scared.
The tears started to form, "Somebody please." I called out.
Suddenly a light so bright blinded me. I shut my eyes but that did little to help.
I suddenly remembered someone desperately calling for me. It was a voice filled with pain.
My name, what was it?
That memory triggered something within me. Regret and heartache?
Why?
"Please, one more time. Let me go back one last time."
What was that? My last thought?
Before I could think about it any further I heard a voice. It was a voice that was full of authority but yet it sounded so melodious and full of love. It caressed me and brought me peace.
"I shall grant you your wish child but it will come with a price. Do you still want it?" the voice asked me.
Do I want what? I don't know what the voice was talking about. I felt comfortable here. Happy. But why couldn't I say no? I frowned.
It must be that person. The one who called for me.
I didn't know why but I just knew I had to go back.
"Y-Yes."
"As you wish my child. I hope you do not regret it. I wish you happiness." the voice replied.
Even though I couldn't see anything, I felt as if he was smiling.
"Th-
I couldn't finish my sentence as another light blinded me once more before all I saw was darkness and just like that, I woke up.

He had asked warily, apparent apprehension in his deep voice while he spoke, "Do you want to talk about it?" "What's there to talk about?" I threw his question back at him, watching him study me for a few critical moments before his potent gaze switched to our surroundings. "I did just watch you nearly kill yourself; that might be a place to start?" ••• She didn't expect for a complete stranger to stop her milliseconds away from committing suicide. She didn't expect him to be so kindhearted and patient. He didn't expect to stop her from jumping in front of a train the first time they met.
