Everything in the south country is a shade of red- the scorching sun, the red mud brick house, the ever angry ever elusive natives and of course the scarlet splotched anger that festers in the hearts of the people which moved to the south country.Amidst all these monochromatic shades of red is Estrella and her family's ranch which is situated between the deadly Red Canyons and the small miserable town of Fork. Despite the hostile environment Estrella finds the hard work on the ranch challenging and fun. However a one night encounter with the natives leaves Estrella angry, lost and out for revenge.
They say hell hath no fury like a women's scorn but does it triumph over a women in love? Could love truly triumph or fury?

Hi,
I wanted to let everyone know that this book utilizes Spanish words but it is not set in Spain or any Spanish speaking countries. I did it this way so I could have creative control and make a different world. Though the story at times will resemble a cross between a western and soap opera. Just wanted to let you guys know. All the same I hope you enjoy :)

First of all, if a feel like ANY characteristics of this book are base off of one of your ideas, feel free to take some credit or something, but it's still MY story, not yours. This is my first book and I don't want get in trouble with anyone. Also, please don't judge me TOO harshly, I just wanted to have some fun and write a book. Don't blame me if you find it a little cliché. I also wrote all of it on my iPad. (Tasha, Chloe, and Alexis are al based off my friends in real life, but Emalisa IS NOT based of me (they got it in their heads that she is)) Emalisa Uldweyna Ra'naa Truesa has had a VERY rough past. What happened, you'll have to read the book. Jaxon Udolf Samuel Tonalay, on the other hand, has a great life. His mother's a chef at a restaurant, which his family owns, his sister goes to the college where his dad's the head dean, and him and his younger twin siblings have amazing grades in school. What'll happen when Emalisa un expectantly falls on Jaxon? He becomes undeniably interested with and in her. Emalisa feels a connection too, but is scared to react on it. The fact that their friends undeniably are head over heels for another doesn't help their situation and provides endless things to tease one another about. So please do read. If you think I should add something more to the description, feel free to tell me, but you have to read the book first! ALSO ALSO ALSO!!!!!!!!!! It could possibly be triggering later on, so I don't suggest reading it if life's been particularly shitty to you about some things. SERIOUSLY!!!!!

In JOS I set the rogue and con-artist Harric against a foil of warriors in a land threatened by magic and civil war. Whenever possible I turn familiar tropes on their heads: instead of a handsome young Lancelot, I cast a broken-down ex-champion addicted to pain-killing herbs; instead of a dashing Squire Brian, the old knight reluctantly takes an ambitious young woman as squire. Similarly, I re-imagine the standard medieval milieu by infusing aspects of two of my favorite historical periods, Elizabethan England, and The American Frontier. Both eras boast a kind of nationalistic arrogance that borders on hubris, and a magnificent spirit of resourcefulness and re-invention that is fun to play with. SERIES The Jack of Souls is first in a series. I am posting parts of the sequel here now (The Knave of Souls), to help me refine the story.
