We hear so much about magic, but over time it's all come to sound.. hackneyed. Wizards, witches, sorcerers, and other being have the abilities to do this and that, but at what price? Nowadays we believe we shouldn't have to go through the labor and we somehow skip through time to get to the zenith of our lives here on Earth. Through the life of a Trait Wielder, one born into magic, I will show you differently. Through all his clandestine suffering, turbulence, confusion, growth, and romance. How a man relentlessly compressed by life became so beautifully sculpted.

I'm weak and broken, tormented by monsters that keep reaching for me, touching my body, hurting me, living marks on my skin and soul. I don't know how it feels to sleep without waking up in the middle of the night sweating, incapable of defending myself, too afraid to scream for help. Until I meet him. He is strong enough to cast away the nightmares, to fight my demons scaring them away, to erase my scars with his tender touch. He teaches me to fight back, to be strong, to scream for help because now there is someone always coming to my rescue. Because now I have someone who loves me. Now I have him, my beautiful warrior, my soulmate, my leelen. We might not have met like normal people would, but again we are not normal and we are definitely not people. Shit. That's how Derrick's life was going after the accident. Hazy memories and scars he didn't need were splintering what was left of what he did remember. Derrick's tattoo shop seemed to get along just fine without him, his magic abilities were short circuiting and for the first time in his life, he wasn't sure who he was anymore. Not to mention some guy named Mike insisted that they were best friends before he lost his memory. As if he'd be friends with someone who breathed positivity. Previously- Many lives were lost in the second Great War, I was able to bring them all back along with some from the first Great War and even one person from before that war, but at the cost of being able to have more than one child.
