I would like some feedback on a revised first page of a story I attempted to write 8 years ago. I was 16 when I first wrote it. I am now nearly 25.
It's clear to me, that, back then, I did not have a very good grasp of creative writing, and I'm not entirely sure It's any better today. But I am hoping that those 8 extra years of reading story, after story has given some subconscious experience.
Please read the first few paragraphs of the first draft then my revised first page.

I was given a chance to transmigrate to another world to avoid boredom while my body lays still. I, like any other lucky bored teenager, agreed and was knocked into sleep right after. I don't know if I died or not, but the moment I regained my consciousness, I was already standing on a field full of grass and surrounded by trees. "W-what is that...?" A screen was floating in front of me. 「 Welcome, new adventurer! 」 "Adventur...rer?" But..... I'm so small! My body is the size of a 9 year old kid! And I don't even know what the hell happened to me. After I read some information on the screen, I was amazed that the world I was in was like a VRMMORPG. Magic exists and so does the level. "Huh?" When I look at my status, I'm not neither a mage that cast magic nor a swordsman that wields a sword, instead.... I'm a puppeteer! "The world around her swam with mottled light. How long had she been fighting?" So...in sixth grade we took this computer-skills class. Our final test was to write a short story in Microsoft Word. My story ended up fleshing out into the trilogy I am working on and planning to publish at somepoint in my life, but I realized how incredible my writing skill has improved between just the two or three years.
