1916, WWI.

Ailsa has been captured by the German army whilst abroad, now being forced to work in a brothel on the outskirts of Belgium near the front line. Her life there is miserable, and she's always counting the days until she could maybe be rescued.

That rescue does arrive, in the form of young officer called James Wilson who claims he has been sent by her father.

She decides to trust the young man and they begin their journey back to Scotland. 

But Ailsa has built a wall around herself, and won't let one handsome officer tear it down. Will they arrive back home safely and never see each other again, or will they not be able to resist each other on the long road ahead?All Rights Reserved

As Elizabeth, the little girl, began to grow up, her mom died, her bother and her dad never showed up again at her house, which left her completely alone. She lost her house, she lost her family and all that she had left was herself. She was shocked, she didn't know what to do, since she thought that the war was over. However, one guy that was also part of the military, saw her.
