It was just like any other day. Kids were laughing and running around the playground when suddenly disaster strikes. A horde of flesh-eating monsters threaten the children. A 6-year-old girl named Katelynn Jones is forced to leave the state with her family. They move to Texas with her Aunt, Uncle and Caroline. When several people all over the states begin falling severely ill with no cure, the zombie infection spreads. When hundreds of zombies start to quickly make their way towards Katie's Aunt and Uncle's house they are left with no choice but to leave with only the things they can carry and with nowhere to go. For months people have thought that it was the bite that infected the people, but that may not be the case. Katie faces several challenges along the way. All of them she has overcome, but at what cost?
