If everybody is dead, then I will be free for eternity. Free to enjoy my life in peace. I'm begining with you. I want you dead, and I'm going to make sure it happens.... soon." He whispered the last part.
Bella is haunted by an evil spirit that wants everybody dead. And it was not going to rest till it got what it wanted. And it was starting with Bella.
