Frisk has lived his entire life being bullied, tormented, and beaten. Never having had a single true friend to call upon. He started out life in an orphanage, where the kids harrassed him, kicked dirt in his face, eventually he was adopted by a loving family, placed in a real school, and thought everything would be okay. But the suffering only got worse. Being betrayed one last time in college left him unable to trust anyone, he keeps his new 'friends', that he met in junior year of college, at arms length. Can they convince him that not everyone in the world is heartless?
This story is about Frisk's journey towards learning how to trust others and form meaningful relationships.

What if there was an anomaly in the Underground? No, not Frisk. Not Chara either. Someone else entirely. How could a few measly children stand to this supposedly immortal foe and save the Underground from destruction? Is it even possible to do so? That means no Soriel, Papyton, etc. The only ships are Torgore (in the past) and Alphyne. •This is NOT an x reader. I dislike those types of stories. For example, Frisk is the second human and not the eighth. •There will be OCs, but only for a few humans and they still technically exist in normal Undertale. •There is a sequel. Soon after that, Chara joins a new family, but their ambition to keep everyone happy goes a little overboard and Chara is flung into a reality of destruction and hopeless wonder. Then many long years later they meet the beloved Frisk, who fell into the Underground, similar to themselves.
