Times are hard in the Kingdom of Dalywen. Under the rule of the cold hearted King Magnus, more and more citizens are falling into poverty and being forced to resort to thievery to survive.
As the harshest winter arrives, Pau Van der Velde, a young mercenary, struggles to survive on his own. Abandoned by his parents at a young age, he became a sellsword who fought for obscure groups for any money he could get his hands on.
One snowy night, Pau's small camp in the forest is attacked by a group of bandits. Robbed of the little money and food he had, he is left unconscious with nothing but the clothes on his back and a dirty, overused iron sword. Luckily for him, he is found by a group of soldiers known as the Red Resistance that plans to overthrow King Magnus and restore Dalywen to its former glory. During his time with the Resistance, he gets to know a foreign medic with a tragic story of his own...

This story is about the characters from Eddsworld and an AU idea I have. As you can tell from the title and picture of the cover this is a Monster Tom story. No ships, sorry but suck it up. Tom is half human half monster who's been craving the warmth of family and friendship. After escaping a laboratory and a mad scientist who was exploiting and abusing him for his monster abilities, Tom finds refuge in a big, wide forest where he spends 5 years living in solitude wondering if he will ever have a chance at being normal or even have a decent life. One day three mischievous, but also very kind, boys in the colors of green, red, and purple (and green) enter the forest looking for a fun and new adventure.
