"We Were Gone" is a modern retelling of Sophocles' drama "Antigone" set in a posh prep school in Bel Air. The heroine Antigone is now a high school junior named Annie who takes the administration of Thebes Academy head-on when her two older brothers get into a fight at school. When one brother is expelled but the other is not, Annie decides she must stand up and speak out. Like its forebear, "We Were Gone" is a coming-of-age story of rebellious youth, family conflict, and civil disobedience. All Rights Reserved
