Alexandra Karev never wanted to be an intern again. She was a second-year resident, almost on her way to choosing a specialty, when everything changed. One moment, she and her best friends-Bailey Grey, Alice Grey, and her twin brother George Karev-were in the hospital basement, and the next, they were standing in Season 7 of Seattle Grace, staring at legends who weren't supposed to be there. The past was never supposed to be real. Derek Shepherd was supposed to be a myth, a man Alice and Bailey never got the chance to know. Alex was never supposed to work under a younger Teddy Altman or catch Cristina Yang's sharp, calculating gaze when she performed a little too well in surgery. But that's easier said than done when Cristina keeps pushing her, testing her limits, drawn to something in her that she can't quite place. And she was definitely not prepared to fall for the two women who would shape her future in ways she never imagined.
