Liesl Hertz has never liked her name, but preferred her middle name, Iris. She enjoys sketching and storytelling. Her life suddenly takes a turn when Blackwood High announces a writing contest for young writers. The prize for the ultimate winner is $500. Then, Liesl's friend and neighbour, Asher Price, takes a turn for the worst as his mental health goes downhill and needs Liesl for emotional support. Liesl must also help her autistic sister who is getting terribly bullied. With all of these problems she has to deal with along with the writing contest, Liesl's life is certainly mismatched!

Hi, my name is Emily i have lived here in California all my life. I have a pretty normal life i guess.
