"What did you do to my mate?!"
he yells for the hundredth time, pressing the silver dagger deeper into my skin. I lay still, not able to do anything else as my eyes become heavier and heavier, my heart rate slowing down. I turn my head slowly and stare deep into his completely black orbs. 
"I am your mate." I spit out with my last breath before I drift off into an everlasting darkness.

With that, he disappeared into the woods, leaving me alone.
