Phil gets mugged and almost dies. Dan insists that Phil takes lessons to try and protect himself better. Phil only agrees if Dan comes along so he can protect himself too, and maybe other reasons. 

Yes I know I suck at descriptions but this is the best I can do without giving away the story. 

P.S. Dan and Phil are not dating yet. I decided to do it this way to had to the comedy of the story and it's easier for me.
