"What are you doing out here, by yourself? You're going to get sick." He took off his jacket and put it over my shoulders. "Hey, hey. Everything is going to be alright, you don't have to cry anymore, I'm right here to protect you." Logan pulled me into another hug, and I was so glad he did because I really needed it.

"Do you need me to take you home?" He asked me. I quickly shook my head no. "N-no, can we go to your place?" I asked trying to keep my voice from cracking.

"But your parents don't like having you out of the house..." Logan took a moment to look me up and down. The tears on my face, the bags that were by my feet, the sudden phone call at midnight.

"Patton, were you kicked out?" he asked, I slowly shook my head. "Are you trying to run away?" He asked again, this time I slowly nodded. He sighed and opened his car door.

"I can't just leave you all alone. I know how your family is, you can stay with me for awhile and everything will be fine." He buckled my seatbelt for me took m bags and put them in the trunk, and then came back to kiss my forehead. "I promise."

Patton lives in a world where the first words your soulmate says to you is written on your skin. The permentant presence of the words 'You're in my seat' on his thigh had yet to disappear until his soulmate utters them one day. Deep down he dreaded that day. You see, Patton had no interest in a romantic relationship which was abnormal in a world ruled by the soulmate system. Virgil hated the soulmate system. He hated it because it gave him the words 'well aren't you a ray of sunshine' printed boldly on his forehead. Luckily for him, foundation was his best friend (and his only friend, for that matter). He never showed it, but he longed for the day his soulmate would sweep the aggravating statement off his forehead and him off his feet. Logan, to put it simply, was married to his work. A love interest didn't interest him in the slightest. The only heed he took that the soulmate system existed was the thinly printed 'what did you say?' on his left palm. He heard that statement a lot but the mild annoyance on his hand was yet to disappear. Roman lived up to his name as a big romantic. In his eyes, the soulmate system was the best thing to happen to him, so the fact that the words written on his collarbone were 'go away' really burst his bubble. The thought of spending his life with his 'other half' was enthralling to him, but the fact his dad expected him to settle down with a nice girl was terrifying. It's hard enough being the new gay junior at a hole-in-the-wall homophobic high school, and Logan doesn't need such illogical things as love, friendship, or even feelings to muck up the one thing he has left: his meticulously-crafted master plan for the future, set to lead him without a hitch to the carefully-crafted dream he has had for himself since early childhood. But after a tangle with fate leaves Logan breathless, he seems to be stuck with the breathtaking Patton Foster-a boy so gentle, selfless, charismatic and endearingly childish that he seems to be akin to a golden retriever puppy: stubbornly persistent, ridiculously energetic, breathtakingly adorable, fiercely loyal, and worst of all, virtually impossible to shut out once a bond is formed. Logan learns quickly that both Patton and the universe may have spectacular plans for him-and he doesn't approve of any of them. ~*~ Hi! This is a Logicality high school AU with some Prinxiety. See first chapter for trigger warnings and a quick but relatively important a/n before reading. Liberal amounts of fluff and angst, but I don't do heartbreaking endings, so if you're into that, then I'm sorry, but it is angsty. I can guarantee you that.
