I see him now, more clearly.  Nolan Gray. Sitting looking down in a squatting position on the ledge.  Having a mental battle going in his mind 

   As I was about two feet away from him I stop walking over.  

But it was too late
  
    Words can't leave my mouth it's like my throat is in fire burning up.  Gasping for the remaining air I have left I scream.  

"I love you"


As the words leave my mouth
he jumps.
