Everly Fisk, an average senior. Not popular but not an outcast. She was just... there. With high standards to live up to, she studied constantly and was the one person in her senior class to seem to actually care. She was already applying for colleges and universities around the country. Everything seemed to be going well until one day an untimely accident happened during chemistry with the future all-star hockey player. Oakley Banyan has one set goal for his life. The NHL. Regardless of how he gets there, he has put his whole life aside for dedication to this sport. He doesn't focus on anything else besides that, almost to the point where he works himself to sickness. He's ready for school to be over so he can become one of the youngest goaltenders in the league. And it was working well until be had to take a hiatus because some girl spilled chemicals onto him, resulting in a two week break that seemed like eternity for him.

Off Ice.

"I'd give it all up for you, Avery," Finn urges. His hands are gripping onto my cheeks and I don't know why I'm letting him get so close to me when I told myself I wouldn't let this happen. All I know is that I could cry at his touch. I miss him so much. "The job, the team, everything," he continues. I swallow the lump in my throat as my eyes dart between his. He seems so desperate and I want to sock myself in the jaw when I'm tempted to wipe the single tear that fell to his cheek. "Because I've seen what it's like to live without you. I know what it's like to see you with someone else, and nothing is worth that. Not even the NHL." The sequel to Ice.
