I managed to jump out of the car as it continued flipping. I landed in the mud, rolling a few times before being able to get back on my feet. I looked at her a few feet away from me. I could see blood pooling around her body and mixing with the water. No, this couldn't be happening. I jumped up and ran to her body. I picked her head up, laying it in my lap. "What the hell?" I took a step closer to the mirror, staring at my reflection in disbelief. The person looking back was still me, but at the same time it wasn't. I had the same thick, dark, curly hair. The same hazel eyes. The same olive skin with a light dusting of freckles (ugh) scattered across the bridge of my nose. But my curls were now streaked with highlights. And not the subtle, golden-brown ones that sometimes appeared during the summer. No, these were an aggressive, dazzling blond that went from the roots of my hair all the way to the tips. It looked like I had spent a full day getting my hair done in some upscale salon. Never mind that I had never set foot in such a place since the day I was born. My eyes appeared somehow wider and more luminous. The colour brighter, my eyelashes darker up against them. And, when I looked closely, my pupils seemed to be slitted almost like a cat. I looked down at my body. My skinny arms-which had always refused to gain any definition no matter how hard I exercised-were lined with flat, wiry muscles. My bony shoulders were now curved and smooth. My scrawny legs were toned like a dancer. I reached down and lifted my shirt, revealing two subtle lines running vertically down my perfectly flat stomach, hinting at the rock-hard abs underneath. The House At The End Of Yellow Brooke Street
An eerie silence echoed through the house at the end of Yellow Brooke Street, the wind outside slammed toward the wooden walls making a whistle inside the house from the cracked windows; the front door made a thud each time it slammed toward the wall and the screams from the dead gave the house an uneasiness to it. I stood before the house, while my friends were excited to do the exact opposite of what our parents told us to; I was not. I trusted my mother when she told us to never get close to this place. "You guys ready?" Diana said with joy in her voice, I stuttered. "No.." the fear in my voice was obvious, though no one seemed to care. Dan glanced at me and chuckled. "Really? It's just a house." "It's a haunted house." I said nervously. "Maybe we should trust our parents on this, they told us that it isn't safe for a reason." "You wimp." Diana joked, she wasn't serious; it was just to get me with them and of course she knew that it would work. "It's fine if you don't want to Luna." Lucas said, at least he was cool about it. "I-I'm not a wimp!" I stumbled on my words. "Yey!" Diana said happily and rushed toward me with her arms open. "I'll buy you McDonalds after this." I hugged her, even though I wasn't happy. (I just wanna say that this story is from back when I was about 13-14 so the spelling errors I apologized for I am going to be continuing this story now that I am 17 I know that's a long time. I don't plan on fixing the errors until I finish the whole story so yeah enjoy and sorry for the 3 year pause😂) I've always heard tapping cone from my room and I could never explain.i always thought it was a small animals playing in the walls but the exterminator told us there was no animals,then I thought it was my little brother playing tricks on me in the middle of the night but I noticed it was coming from the corner if my room where the old mirror I found in this old house was.Now I wasn't getting sleep for the past 2 nights I have been trying to find out where it was coming from and if it's the thing the took that neighbors son....God her words rang through my heads.i will never forget the night when I found where the tapping was coming from and how I fell in love with a person out of this world....literally.Concluida
