The moment Gold became Champion of Johto, he knew something was wrong.

Unbeknownst to the world, a secret society existed behind the heroic veil of the regions' Pokémon Leagues. Lead by a mysterious, nameless figure, the Pokémon League worked in his interest rather than for the good of the people. Valuing money over anything else, they stole from the world and masked their every action as being for the greater good.

As Gold began unraveling the twisted secrets hidden withing the Pokémon League, he grew desperate to reveal the corrupt reality to the world. He was bound, however, by a mysterious oath that prevented him from ever acting against them. As he fell deeper into the demented tangles of the Pokémon League, he learned just how badly some Champions want out--and how much some Champions love their life of corrupt luxury. The Pokémon League was too powerful for one person to overcome.

Gold had to decide if risking his life and the lives of everyone he loved was worth trying to achieve justice.

This is the second installment in the 'Pokémon Red' series. Red, a 10-year-old Pokémon Trainer, after rejecting the oppurtunity to become the Viridian City Gym Leader must continue his quest of becoming a Pokémon Master to the Johto Region. Here he will be met with similar challenges, mainly - Team Rocket. Frequently Asked Questions: Q - This book has a crossover? A - The book crosses over with @Bossun24 's Pokemon Leaf Chronicles for 6 chapters. The crossover had been planned 1 year prior to its publishing. Q - Why is Leaf replaced by Lyra? A - Leaf is not replaced by Lyra, both characters are different in their own ways. I wanted to get Leaf out of the picture for a different kind of character growth. Lyra is Red's cousin sister, with Red being an experienced trainer, he acts like a mentor to her. Q - So time travel happens in this one? A - It does, and its fun how it plays out. Q - Who is this Masked Man? There was a masked man in the manga too. A - While the idea was original, a mystery man who structures every Team Rocket plan and assists Giovanni. I was shocked to see that the manga had someone named "Masked Man" as well. Q - Who is this Masked Man? And why is he important? A - A mystery man controlling every aspect of a criminal organisation and has been the true mastermind of Giovanni's every plan? Sounds pretty important to me. As for his identity, I was very unsure if I was ever going to reveal it as it was not very important at first until the second book was coming to an end.
