An UnderTale AU where W.D. Gaster is King before the war instead of Asgore Dreemurr. Gaster is not as naive a ruler and sees the war with humans coming years before it arrives. By then, he has already led monster kind to create a safe place for themselves underground. They willingly retreat there as soon as the war begins, sustaining minimal casualties, and gradually create an underground kingdom. Sans and Papyrus are the first and second princes. The barrier exists to keep humans out rather than monsters in.
There will likely be crossovers in the future of the story.

The monster realm was much different than the human one, with that separation it was hard to get along and soon a war started, families died, monsters and humans. It wasn't a good time for anyone, children and teens left to fend for themselves while the world wrecked havoc. After years of this chaos it seemed to ease, only for Monsters to hit twice as hard, now enslaving any human they could find as pay back. They took everything from you, well everything that you had worked for that is. It's been about 11 years since the accident happened I was 19 years old currently so that happened when I was 9 I've been alone for 11 years. Taking care of myself and I got pretty good at it to. I hated the monsters, despised them for what they did, but now as I'm alone running away from one, fear was the only emotion flowing through my body. What happens when you get caught by that monster? Y/n was and/or is a very sweet child, unfortunately for them they weren't treated very well by their mother or father, Y/n was abused and didn't have anyone. Partially, this story has abusive and angst. Y/n had no friends, they did not go to school, nor did they have any Familiarity's with the outside world. It was all dark for y/n. A long KingDings fic because this ship does not get the attention I think it deserves. I love this ship, and it's adorable. I plan on making this a full story, so buckle up! Also in this Gaster is Sans and Papyrus's father because Dadster is wholesome and cute. Toriel and Asgore are decent friends in this one because I believe that they could have a friendship if they tried. I will put in little bits of my other ships, but Asgore and Gaster are the main focus. If you want the actual story, read it. It's very fluffy and cute and gay.
