Claire was never a popular girl, and she never wanted to be one. She was fine just having a few close friends and some good books for company.
That all changed when she started talking to the smartest, most athletic, hottest, most popular boy in school: Lloyd Garmadon- again.
Claire was friends with him in the past, but she hadn't talked to him since they started high school; in fact, she wanted nothing to do with him and his popular jock friends.
But still, she couldn't block out the voice in her head begging her to text him, to call him, to hang out with him again.
Maybe the universe was giving her a sign that they were still destined to be friends?
No, of course not. Destiny and fate are just things old fortune tellers made up to get a couple bucks, right?
