About a week before Klocke and Haiden go to meet the survivors of Trouble School, Klocke finds himself faced with something more frightening than all the ghosts and all the killers he's ever faced, and ever will face.
A date with his new girlfriend, the psychologist, Anabell Newland. But before he gets much opportunity to stress about it, his partner, Jennifer Haiden, shows up on his doorstep with a Christmas gift. Only he didn't get anything for anyone. Not even Ana.
And, of course, last-minute Christmas shopping wouldn't be any fun without an explosion and a lunatic with a knife hell-bent on bloodshed.

Alyssan Bogard didn't live a long life. She died when she was 17. All she remembers is waking up in her backyard. She has no memory of her death and only has a vague idea about what happened from what she's heard while lingering around her family and previous school. Alyssan has no idea why she's lingering around as a spirit and wants nothing more than to move on. That is until she meets Sawyer. Sawyer Garrison is the guy the teachers adore, who people want to befriend, and who girls want to date. He's the one who's been voted most likely to succeed in life after school. His family life is shit. Sawyer wants nothing more than to get out of dodge as soon as the opportunity presents itself and with only seven months, two weeks, and four days left it couldn't come sooner. That is until he meets Alyssan. Neither expected to meet the other and neither expected the horrendous outcome that arises from it. Alyssan never ran away and she didn't die of any natural causes either. She was murdered and the fact that her killer is still on the loose scares both of them. The fact that the killings started again is even worse. With the killer targeting more girls, she and Sawyer might be the only hope of stopping the deaths. Alex just left Nigel with only leaving a message on a note, telling him he probably comes back - only if possible. Obviously this is a hit in the face for Nigel. The first few months are terrible, and it only gets worse as he gets no word from Alex. No sign of him that could possibly give him some strength to go on. After more months, he loses his hope, killing everyone around as if that would make anything better. Nigel gets locked up in an asylum, declared for mentally unstable: charged for many, many murders. And since he doesn't ages, they keep him for experiments. Since they are very religious in there, they believe it's the Devil his son. After eight years, somehow Nigel keeps seeing this blonde-reddish boy visiting him. He tells him stories, being all cheeky and forces him to wait. The doctors around are trying anything to get that boy out of Nigel his mind, and when they don't succeed, they decide to use electroshock therapy for that. As Nigel threats to lose Alex, the connection between the two fades a lot. Alex has barely enough strength to stay around, and gets forced to find a body before he disappears forever. Strangely enough a patient passes by during Nigel his therapy. A suspicious girl that always wants to know everything that's going around. Since she is the only weak person of them all in a near distance, Alex gets into her body - being forced to share it with another soul. As soon as Nigel realizes that the girl isn't just somebody, and they can't get away from each other, there's only one option left. But what will happen? Will Alex get his body back?
