The year is 2045. In order to train the next generation of air force pilots, countries around the world have turned air combat into a school sport, officially naming it "Fire Flight". Simply put, a fire flight is a simulated air combat scenario, be it air-to-air or air-to-surface, using dummy munitions to score hits on air/surface targets. Kevin McNamara is an autistic senior in the backwater high school of Monarca High, Monarca, California. He will join the "Monarca Kestrels" fire flight squadron and fill the spot of Kristopher Kestrel, who tragically died in an aircraft collision earlier in the year. He will have to get antiquated with his teammates who are still recovering from Kristopher's death. As a flight of three jets, all of which are relics of the distant past, they will have to work together as they fight above their weight class in almost every match they enter. Kevin will have to experience grief, romance, and the harshness of gatekeeping on top of all the usual stresses of a fighter pilot if he wants his team to become the best fire flyers in the America.

Events in Syria in 2015 brought thousands of people from different countries together and caused a clash between them. The reasons why all of them had been there were different, but war and the fear of death always make people equal. The desire to survive forces every human to act and, at times, it is not as he wants and is able. When a terrorist organization gets a weapon that can shoot down airplanes, the militants immediately use it against the American jets. One is brought down and its pilot manages to bail out, but no one knows how to save him. And who can do that? The difficult rescue operation aims to not only find the pilot, but also demonstrate the need for joint actions of all countries in the struggle against new extremist movements in the region. However, these are ordinary soldiers who have to make things happen and their fates, their pains and suffering have become the main theme of this story.
