the only life they've known is the night. the only teenage-rule-breaking they've done is sneak past the sleeping guards. the only rush of excitement they've felt is when they secretly steal the cafeteria ice cream, escaping to the park.
the only world they've known is the unpleasent smell of hospital food, beeping machines, the squeaky, uncomfortable beds, people scattering around, some in wheelchairs, some in doctor coats, some in stretchers being carried in from the outside world.
11 years.
they've been here for 11 years, running around, enjoying their childhood. 11 whole years, except one thing...
jungkook has been in a coma the whole time. his family were in an accident that left him unconscious. taehyung has been in the hospital, due to his pancreatic cancer. tae doesn't have much friends, seeing as they all leave when they get too sick.
when jungkook is seen throughout the hospital, taehyung's curiosity strikes, wondering who the boy is, and why he's here. tae befriends the sleeping boy, keeping him company, reading him stories, and staying by his side.
jungkook hasn't woken up for 11 years.
only at night.
at night is when he can wake up. at night is when he can wake up and him and tae sneak to the park, catch up on movies and everything jungkook misses when he's asleep during the day.
