Natalie Willis and Devon Taylor have a history that extends way back. A history that Natalie would do anything to forget.
They may have once been closer than anything but now they couldn't be anymore different. He's everything she's not, or everything she's trying not to be.
So when their parents push them together to go on a trip up north, Natalie is sure it'll end up disastrous. But after a journey of rain, hail and the worst luck possible could these polar opposites fall in love, all over again?

My head was a fuzzy mess. Never again would I mix vodka, gin, and tequila into one shot. And it was all because of one guy. One very stupid guy that I stupidly fell for. Nick Cauldron. 23-year-old, Natalie Atkins has never been in love or in a relationship for that matter. She's spent most of her life in books, reading about them. When she moves out to Los Angeles, she hopes that her luck will change, and she will finally get to live out her fantasy of falling in love. She starts working as a teacher by day and ridesharing at night to make ends meet. Nothing seems to be going as planned as she doesn't get to meet anyone while at school and most of the people she's had as ridesharing customers were either couples, old folks, or college kids drunk off their asses. Then enters Nick, a guy who seems to be a dream come true and who she shares a very great conversation with while ridesharing. He says how he is a musician and how she should come to the Blue Velvet Lounge where his band performs. She goes and finds he is a very talented singer and guitarist. She swoons for him after his performance, and they have drinks afterwards. Just as she thinks he is going to kiss her, he doesn't. Instead, he says she's not his type and would rather just be friends. This stings at first especially as she sees him go after a girl much more alluring than she is. Benji, his bandmate and best friend, tells her it's not worth it, that every girl he gets involved with is only for a hot minute and then he's on to the next one. She asks how she can get him interested in her to which he says to not care about him and move on to the next guy. But she says she's never felt this way about a guy before and Benji says he has an idea. Since Nick is his best friend, he'll turn her into the perfect catch.
