In the world, creatures known as Hybrids were merely legends. Creatures of a crossbreed of human and dragon. Katrine, the one and only hybrid to exist was hiding in Valka's dragon sanctuary. Rescued from Drago Bludvist she lived in fear and hate towards humans for the life she had to live. Until a stranger is brought to the sanctuary and that's what her life is forever changed.
But changed for what?

Over the years, the boy grew up hating dragons and counted down the days until he could join the warriors in battle, defending his village and avenging his brother and mother. However his father always kept him inside the forge during raids in fear of losing the only family he had left. There, the boy became a bit of an inventor as well as a decent blacksmith.
