Holland James is a nineteen year old college student living in Los Angeles, California, where there's no snow, no parents, and lots of sun. Being from a family that surrounds itself in the holiday, Holland has a bit of an aversion towards Christmas; more like he hates it. So when his mother requests that he and his roommate visit for the holiday, secrets are revealed and love is blossomed.

Once upon a time, I was your typical good girl, doing my job like a total elf star, no complaints. Even with the little "gift" I was born with (aka my disability), I handled life pretty well. But let me tell you, luck's never been my plus-one. What am I talking about? Oh, just my lovely name-and the Christmas curse that comes with it! Every year, without fail, while my family's out decking the halls, I'm over here getting snowed under with the worst disasters. So, yeah, all I want for Christmas is for this nightmare of a season to be over. But this year? Oh, I've really hit the Christmas tree topper.
