We build our lives from the different labels we receive. Our first label, often our gender, changes the way we are raised and how we grow. What happens however, when this first label is wrong. What happens when how we have been labeled and raised throughout our whole lives has all been based on a mistake.

Read into the life of one teenager who was mislabeled at birth. The issues faced with growing up transgender in a rural community where even being gay is unheard of. The troubles from the worlds uneducated views on top of an already difficult teenage life clash.

Their faces forever burned in his mind. Just as burned as the old country house he used to live in. His parents. The smoke. The Smoke. The Fire. That Damn Fire. The roof of their old farmhouse collapsing, closing off the exit. Their faces, burning, melting in the flames. He would never forget the image of their skin slowly melting off their faces. Horror in their eyes. There was one thing that Keith didn't understand. He never saw his parents when they died. All of it was in his head. His nightmares. <><><><> Keith Kogane, or Kathrine Kogane as his birth certificate says, is a trans-boy orphan who has gone from house to house, being rejected by all his families. He assumes this one is no different, but what he doesn't know is that this family is (What any family should be like) accepting of his choices. (Ok. I get it, I'm not very good at summaries and such but yeah...don't judge it by the summary. It's a lot better than it sounds ok) Warning. This is a mature story. There is a lot of fluff. And strong language. And depression. You have been warned. If you have a problem with gay, transgender, suicidal thoughts then don't read this book. Also, I am a shitty writer, a lot of this is based on other books I've read. There's a shit ton of stuff I got ideas from in my reading lists So go check those out. So yeah...enjoy my shitty writing. I've warned you. Please keep the comments nice, unless it is CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! Saying 'You suck' is not constructive. Written by: Me duh I had some help with some information on transgender people and some other stuff, @StormOrSkyBreakDown so not all of this is mine :) Also, the editing isn't completely done so when it is I'll be sure to change this message right here ;) Update on that last line, it's been two years and the editing is done. Not sure why I didn't change that but I guess I'll leave it in.
Waking up to a new reality by xp64rs

Eric was the younger of twelve year old twins, just approaching their thirteenth birthday. Although only six minutes younger than Lauren, she was clearly the alpha character when it came to sibling rivalry; she had an effervescent outgoing personality and exuded confidence in everything that she did. Eric, on the other hand, was introverted and largely lived his life in under the shadow of his sister. That was until Eric was diagnosed with a life threatening condition. Admitted to hospital for emergency life-changing surgery. Waking up a different person there was a new-found confidence and optimism that results in a metamorphosis into a life that is far from the shadows. Born out of Covid-19 lockdown, this was conceived as a light-hearted short story to counteract the doom and gloom that was resulting from the pandemic. It grew longer than expected, as I got to know Erin. The story might still be a bit rough round the edges, but I wanted to release it in time for summer vacation reading. There is no violence or hatred, just kindness and acceptance. For those that discount this as unrealistic of the real world, I counter two arguments: 1) It is a complete work of fiction. 2) My son went to Lycee (Senior secondary school) in rural France, where attitudes are generally very conservative. Despite this, there was a girl his his year, who believed she should have been a boy. HE was accepted for who he was, without prejudice. Hopefully it offers a little light reading with a happy ending. Not that the story is set in Scotland and the spelling reflects British convention, perhaps with some Scottish dialect thrown in.

Love can feel empowering. Love can be deadly. It can be the greatest thing to ever happen. It can be the biggest mistake that can't be reversed. It can feel like a dream come true. It can feel like a nightmare that you can't wake up from. Love changes people in many ways, from mild to severe, whether it's beneficial or detrimental in anybody's life, no matter if you're lesbian, gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, or a person who just loves people without a label. How does love change you? ******* It's like your basic high school love story, except it's with adults in their early-mid 20s, and they're either still in college or have graduated from college and have jobs. It's a modern slice of life narrative novel about lesbians trying to find true love or wanting to get back into the love game. Five of these lovely characters share their own little tales of how love changes them first go, or their first time in forever! Their perspectives on love as it takes effect either get sensual, dramatic, or to the extent of a slow burn, as they also deal with life's obstacles along the way and share a part in each other's stories. There are ups and downs as their own stories go along, and it all gets more suspenseful towards the end where problems unfortunately arise. Will things get better or worse from here for these lovestruck lesbians as the story goes on? [Content/Trigger Warnings- the main warnings are scenes of sexual activity, and suicidal talk/attempt, along with mentions of said attempt. Everything else is listed inside the book! Please read the list before reading the book!] [Word count: +140,000 words...I write a lot, but enjoy anyway!]

11 parts Complete Mature

It was only senior year. Four years of my life all about to come to an end for college next year. Had the stereotypical deadbeat father and hardworking mother in a Caribbean household. The bisexual, black girl trying to get through her senior year of high school. I was the girl who knew everyone but had a small group of friends. I was the star track and field runner for the girls' team at school. I hadn't been intimate with anyone in two years. It was going alright until I met you. You popped into my life, made my head spin into a 360, and that's when it all changed. You changed me. And for that, I mostly hate you then appreciate what you did to me. And it's because of you, I'll never be the same towards love again. They say your first love is something you won't ever forget. I won't, especially from the damage you done and continued to do.
